Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue
For the past twelve years, the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation (MHARF)
in Zimmerman, Minnesota has been rescuing and restoring the health of horses and other
animals in distress.

Just as dozens of humane societies offer dogs and cats a second chance at a loving home,
this foundation finds permanent, caring adoptive homes for horses. Some of the horses
are young and sound. Others are injured, ill due to extreme neglect, starved, or simply
very old.

Foster Farm is now helping MHARF train and place the many horses the foundation sees
each month.  Please visit
MHARF's website for a complete list of adoptable horses and
see below for those who are adoptable and currently residing at Foster Farm in Isanti.
Foster Farm
Natalie Payne, Owner/Trainer/Instructor
Quality Training & Instruction For All Levels
Prancer was Natalie's student for the 2010 Trainer's Challenge. She is a seven year old
dark bay and white pinto mare. She has been giving Saddleseat lessons and is indeed a
Saddleseat style horse. She is fun to ride with a strong back end that gives her a great trot.
She would be best for intermediate level riders.

CHRISTA-
Christa has been in Foster Farm's lesson program for over a year and is ready to share her
knowledge with others. Due to the farm adopting Prancer, Christa must now find a new
home. She is a trustworthy horse who has given everything from beginner to advanced
lessons.

RUBY-
Ruby is an eight year old registered Saddlebred mare. She is competing in the 2011
MHARF Trainer's Challenge and information about her can be seen
HERE.

MAGGIE-
Maggie is a six year old dark bay and white pinto mare. She was a student in the 2009
Trainer's Challenge and originally came from the same farm as Christa. While she learned
how to be ridden and handled during the Challenge, she has now completed a tune up,
regaining all of her skills. She is a nice mare who gets along well with other horses and
enjoys being outside. She would be best suited for an intermediate level rider. She has been
ridden English since being at Foster Farm. She likes kids!

SONNY-
Sonny is a twelve year old chestnut gelding.  This gelding has re-learned how to be ridden
and seemingly now enjoys his work. He currently can be ridden English or Western and
lunges quite well.  Sonny loves attention and enjoys a good neck scratch.  He stands about
15.1 hands. Sonny is up for adoption through the
MN Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation
in Zimmerman and can be seen by contacting
Natalie Payne at 612-616-6687.

FLETCHER-
Fletcher is a friendly 14 hand horse who enjoys attention. He is brand new to the farm so
he has not yet been assessed.  He does have some stubborn tendancies and definately
wants to be an outdoor horse.  He is not very aggressive while in the paddock, but does
tend to get what he wants while outside. Pictures and an update will be posted soon...

GABBY-
Gabby is an eleven year old chestnut mare. She lunges and rides well and can be ridden
English or Western.  This mare listens very well under saddle and respects her rider. She
could make a nice trail horse or a nice horse to just have fun with. She stands about 15
hands. Gabby is up for adoption through the
MN Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation in
Zimmerman and can be seen by contacting
Natalie Payne at 612-616-6687.  Pictures
coming soon...

DREAMS-
Dreams is a 20 year old quarter horse mare.  She enjoys trail rides and does best in
western tack.  She is fine going on a trail ride even if you haven't ridden her in a long time.
She enjoys attention and being brushed.  Dreams does best in a small herd as she tends to
settle towards the bottom of the totem pole in pastures. Dreams is up for adoption through
the
MN Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation in Zimmerman.  Dreams can be seen by
contacting
Natalie Payne at 612-616-6687.

PILGRIM-
Pilgrim is a clay-bank Appolosa. He appears to be over 16 hands tall and has a nice broad
stance. He is a relaxed horse who could make a great trail horse. He knows how to neck
rein, but also will direct rein. Pilgrim lunges easily and is ready to get back to work. He is
up for adoption through the
MN Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation in Zimmerman.
Pilgrim can be seen by contacting
Natalie Payne at 612-616-6687.
